About Bracket Résumé Score
Bracket Résumé Score (NRS) was created to provide a transparent and consistent way to evaluate NCAA men’s basketball tournament résumés.
Each season, fans, media members, and bracketologists debate which teams deserve NCAA Tournament bids. While the NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) plays an important role in the selection process, there is often confusion about how complete résumés compare across teams.
Bracket Résumé Score was developed to help answer that question.
By combining game results, opponent quality, and game location into a single résumé-based framework, NRS is designed to make team comparisons easier and more transparent throughout the season.
About the Creator
Bracket Résumé Score was founded by Tom Hickman, a professor, researcher, and lifelong college basketball fan.
For years, I have followed the NCAA Tournament selection process and the debates surrounding bubble teams, quality wins, and résumé comparisons. Like many fans, I wanted a clearer and more transparent way to evaluate tournament résumés.
Bracket Résumé Score is the result of that effort.
Our Mission
The mission of Bracket Résumé Score is simple:
To provide college basketball fans with transparent, data-driven résumé analysis that helps explain and evaluate NCAA Tournament selection decisions.
Whether you are following your favorite team, comparing bubble résumés, or projecting the tournament field, BRS is designed to provide clear and consistent insights throughout the season.
